PROCEDURE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF HEAVY OIL AND BITUMEN DEPOSITS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC E21B43/24 

FIELD: gas and oil production.

SUBSTANCE: procedure for development of deposits of high viscous oil and bitumen consists in construction of horizontal producer and vertical pressure wells, bottomhole of which is above horizontal wells, in pumping working substance into pressure wells and in withdrawal of product from producers. Pressure wells are arranged in a grid of 50-100 m. Horizontal multi-directional producers equipped with temperature sensors are located on both sides of the pressure wells at distance of 20-100 m. Also, bottom hole of the middle pressure well nearest to middle between wellheads of multi-directional producers is 1-5 m above a level of producers. Other pressure wells on ends from the middle pressure well and wellheads of producers have bottom holes located above the middle one at 5-10 m. Pressure wells are opened along whole interval of an opened payout bed. Temperature at sections corresponding to pressure wells is analysed in horizontal wells by means of sensors.

EFFECT: increased oil recovery.
