FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: driving device for drive of sprocket with compensation of polygon effect contains two wheels (1, 2), a tractive element (3) with upper branch (31) and lower branch (32) and tensioner. The tensioner contains first not round compensation wheel (4) for contact with upper branch (31), second not round compensation wheel (4) for contact with lower branch (32) and a rocker (6) whereon there are mounted rotating first and second compensation wheels (4, 5). Rocker (6) turns on a stationary support. The invention also refers to the chain drive containing the driven device and at least one sprocket (7) driven to rotation with the driving device.
EFFECT: compensation of polygon effect both in forward and in reverse directions of rotation.
