FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: solid fuel samples are collected and the weight of the fuel is measured before and after the action. The settling height of the fuel during the thermal action, which takes place under a load of a set of weights in form of discs, is also measured. The weight of the solid fuel before heating and loading and after at settling height equal to 2/5-1/2 of the initial height is determined. Relative strength of the solid fuel is determined using a formula.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining strength of fuel.
