METHOD OF COGNITIVE PROCESS CONTROL Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2438575 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to labour psychology, medicine, and can be applied in operator state monitoring, applicant testing, highly accurate determination of information awareness degree. Various stimuli are shown to test subject whose involuntary physiological reaction is determined by pupil response registration. To determine pupil response, changes of pupil micromotion in time are registered. Points of abrupt change of parameters in comparison to background values are identified in the dependencies obtained. These points are interpreted as beginning and end of controlled cognitive processes in the brain of test subject.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cognitive process monitoring due to parameters reflecting stimulus awareness more accurately and directly, due to particular methods and means of normal and abnormal cognitive process distinction, viable for automation.
