FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at increasing the quality of tubes at maximum continuous drawing in tube continuous rolling. Proposed method comprises feeding the mandrel into heated sleeve, feeding both into gage formed by rolls, consecutive deformation in several gages arranged sequentially with increasing speed of tube displacement relative to mandrel. High-precision high-surface quality tubes are produced due to pressure angle in idle rolls not exceeding 2/3 of friction angle in drive rolls. Note here that the area of sleeve surface contact with idle rolls makes 20-45% of he area of sleeve surface contact with drive rolls in the first gage to increase in the next gages to not over 90%.
EFFECT: friction factor of metal contact with idle rolls is smaller than that with drive rolls by 10%.
