FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at obtaining 1,4-cis-polyiosoprene on a TiCl4-Al(i-C4H9)3 catalyst system. In the method of producing 1,4-cis-polyiosoprene, continuous polymerisation of isoprene in toluene medium at 25°C is short term (2-3 s) with turbulent mixing of catalyst components in a tubular turbulent reactor with a diffuser-confusor design. The catalyst is then held for 30 minutes at temperature from zero to minus nine degrees and then fed into a polymeriser.
EFFECT: low content of gel fraction and narrow molecular weight distribution, where polyisoprene is synthesised with high content of 1,4-cis-links.
