FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing mixture of saturated hydrocarbons involves growing the Hypomyces rosellus All-Russian collection of industrial microorganisms F-242 fungus strain on a culture medium containing mineral salts and an organic source of carbon, followed by extraction of hydrocarbons with organic solvents. The culture medium used has the following composition (in %): cereal-processing industry wastes 2-20; NaNO3 - 0.1-0.5; KH2PO4 - 0.05-0.1; MgSO4 - 0.05-0.1; FeSO4 - 0.0001-0.001; water - the rest. pH of the initial culture medium is kept in the range of 6.0-6.2. Fungus is grown at temperature 20-25°C for 4-6 hours. Saturated C13-C35 hydrocarbons are extracted from a lipid fraction extracted from the fungus culture fluid with non-polar organic solvents. The method enables to obtain a mixture of saturated C13-C35 hydrocarbons with high output. Output of end products is equal to 18-36% in terms of dry biomass.
