FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: heat-sensing circuit-breaker (1) includes air-tight tank (2) with metal housing (3) and base (4), conductive pin terminals (10A, 10B) fixed with air-tight sealing at base (4), stationary contact (8) fixed at conductive pin terminal (10 A), heat-sensing plate (6) with one end connected electrically at inner surface of air-tight tank (2) and changing its direction of curvature at preset temperature to the opposite and moving contact (7) fixed to the other end of heat-sensing plate (6). Both stationary (8) and moving (7) contacts of heat-sensing circuit breaker (1) are based on silver-tin oxide and air-tight tank (2) with gas containing 50-95% of helium and creating gas pressure at least 0.3 atm at room temperature, but less than 0.8 atm.
EFFECT: increased service life due to improvement of resistance to local damage when exposed to electric arc and improved performance of current interruption even when cadmium-free contacts are used.
