FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: in the method information radio signals are received by a receiving antenna, they are amplified in a low noise amplifier, signals are converted in a high-frequency unit of a receiving device, signal level is controlled in a system of automatic control of amplification, the signal is demodulated, and digital processing of the demodulated signal is carried out. To identify the replaceable antenna modules as supply is connected or the system is restarted, after completion of transition processes, the level of the output signal of a replaceable antenna module is modulated depending on its identification data, signal level variation is identified and quantised at the outlet of the system of automatic amplification control, and from the produced signal data is withdrawn on type and parameters of a used replaceable antenna module, which are used in digital processing of a signal.

EFFECT: simplified technical realisation of a task of automatic identification of replaceable antenna modules, related to the fact that for identification purposes it is not necessary to develop an additional channel of data transfer, but it is possible to use the already available channel of information receipt.
