SUBSTANCE: method of performing handover involves transmission, in parallel with continuation of transmission completion, the status of data on handover of a session to a functional referencing network module, wherein the status of handover data contain an indicator of the target transceiver module and a sequence marker, wherein the status of handover data acts so as to initiate the functional referencing network module in order to transmit part of the ordered sequence of data packets to the identified target transceiver module from a shadow buffer until completion of handover, wherein the part begins after the end of the segment identified through the sequence marker.

EFFECT: efficient handover with short communication session delay time.
