FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method is realised by adding coagulants produced from aluminium-containing material into the stream of treated water, followed by stirring the pulp and separating the effluent. The aluminium-containing coagulant - precipitating agent used is white sludge in powder form - a recycled product of aluminium production, where the coagulant is added to the treated water in amount of 0.5-5.0 g/l of effluent. In the preferred version of the method, the coagulation process after addition of white sludge is carried out while mixing the pulp with air for 4-20 hours in aeration tanks.
EFFECT: high efficiency of treating waste water to standard maximum allowable concentration and intensification of the process while reducing economic expenses.
