SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a string musical instrument having a housing in form of a volumetric polyhedron with a flat top with a string holder, a saddle and a sound hole, a shortened neck with a finger board and modal board, a pegbox on the top end of the neck, and three strings. The saz is further provided with two strings and a shell attached to the top between the base of the finger board and the sound hole. The pegbox is straight and is in form of a hollow rectangular box which passes into a tapered fork-pin, and is equipped with pegs on the right and left sides relative the longitudinal axis, and a removable bottom cover.

EFFECT: high reliability of the design of the musical instrument and broader functionalities.
