FIELD: musical instruments.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to stringed and bowed acoustic musical instruments and can be used in making electronic musical instruments. Two-body string musical instrument consists of two bodies with soundboards equipped with voice holes, with a set of differently tuned strings stretched on a bridge and tuning pegs, wherein it is equipped with a neck having a round shape in cross section, with pegs installed on the headstock, both bodies are perforated with through resonator holes according to the number of strings and are placed in series on the neck, the support for the strings is made in the form of a ring and is installed in the end face of the first body located at the base of the neck, strings enter the through holes of the support and the body into the resonator cavity of the body and exit through the resonator holes in the gap between the bodies, after which they enter the inner cavity of the second body through the resonator holes and, after passing through the resonator cavity, exit through the resonator holes to the neck with pegs on its head.

EFFECT: protection of strings against damage during transportation and improvement of acoustic characteristics.
