FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of vertical wells from earth surface on a mining field worked by a long breakage face until they cross a mined superimposed coal seam, connection of wells to a system of gases draining out and removal of gases. The well, which is nearest to the breakage face on the worked coal seam, is drilled after another setting of the main roof, and gas is removed by it in the interval of the distance from the face that is multiple to the main roof setting. At the same time vertical wells are drilled into zones with high intensity of gas removal from the superimposed coal seam into the mined space of the mine section with account of the breakage face shift speed. Zones with high intensity of gas release from the mined superimposed coal seam into the mined space are established at the crossing of the border where intense gas release starts from the drained superimposed seam counted from the breakage face with such border from the mine with an outgoing air jet.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of methane removal from the superimposed coal seam, reduced scope of wells drilling on the mining field.
