SUBSTANCE: in the method a user input unit in a portable communication device is associated with a function, which is to be used for connection to a provider of a message service, a request is sent, depending on a user that activates the user input unit, to the provider of message service for tuning of a message processing area for a user, from the provider of message service an identifier is received, and this identifier identifies the message processing area developed for a user, and also input data for entering the specified area, and the user input unit is associated with the function of access to the specified message processing area, which, when selected by a user, makes it possible for a user to directly address the area of message processing.
EFFECT: simplified process of access to a web page, reduction of operations required for this purpose and spent time.
