FIELD: automobile industry.
SUBSTANCE: this invention covers damage prevention techniques for the driver and the passengers of a vehicle in case of an accident. The following accident sensor and processing method of the measured value of this accident sensor was proposed: a sensor element registers at least one measured value. Here, the first re-writable memory storage is provided; it stores the first data which affects processing of the measured value. Besides, the second memory storage is provided; it stores non-erasible second data for affecting processing of the measured value. A logical module is also provided which - depending on check results of the first memory storage - loads the first or the second data for processing of the measured value.
EFFECT: provision of basic functionality of such critical sensor as accident sensor; enhances performance capacity of car security system for the driver and the passengers.
