FIELD: railway.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the upper structure of the railway, namely to the terminals construction used in the intermediate rail fasteners for mounting rails to the sleepers. The elastic terminal of rail fastening includes a spring clip and an electrical insulator, which is made by molding together with a spring clip, represents one unit with it and has supporting surface for contact with the upper side of the rail foot, supporting surface for contact with the side of the rail foot and supporting surface for contact with the anchor of the rail fastening, performed at an angle a = 3, -10° to the vertical plane passing through the axis of the spring clip rod. Electrical insulator is made smaller than the width of the spring clip with the ability to rotate it about the axis of the spring clip rod or bigger than the width of the spring clip without the ability of its rotation.
EFFECT: reduces the complexity of manufacturing and assembly operations, providing the possibility of mechanization of the process of spring clips installation in the rail fasteners, increasing reliability and service life of the rail fasteners, assuring more reliable electrical insulation of the rail fastening.
