SUBSTANCE: invention is designated for lowering the consumption index in the pipe manufacturing industry, in particular boiler pipes by means of pressing followed by reducing; the method of pipes manufacturing includes direct pressing of the semi-finished pipe with a central channel consisting of enclosures with alternating adjacent cross-sections on the pressing spire of a stepped configuration with reducing to follow up; the removal of the sidewall boss in the front and back zones of the pipe is secured due to that in the process of direct pressing the thickness of the wall is reduced in the front and back zones of the semi-finished pipe for the value correspondent to the increase of the sidewall thickness in the above zones during reducing; the pressing spire is performed with the additional conic zone with the set relation of its zones dimensions.
