FIELD: instrument manufacturing.
SUBSTANCE: method of electromagnetic flow-meters calibration implying an imitation technique is implemented as follows: a discharge simulator is placed in the measurement channel of the primary measuring transducer, the obtained primary measuring transducer signal is converted into electromagnetic voltage and the obtained signal is set to the measurement device of the electromagnetic flow-meter. The discharge simulator filled with the liquid to be measured and equipped with electrodes is sent in reciprocating movement and the obtained signal is set to the measurement device input, converted and reflected as a measured liquid volume. The signals taken from the simulator electrodes are set immediately to the measurement device input.
EFFECT: decreased electrode wear when the simulator electrodes contact with the primary measuring transducer electrodes and a simplified simulator design.
