FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to selection of hemp and may find application in the field of agriculture. The method is proposed to select highly productive forms of fibrous, seed and universal directions of usage, including detection of weight and length of a technical part of a plant and calculation of an index as the ratio between the technical part weight and the squared value of the technical part length. Using the value of the specified index, highly productive forms are selected for seed direction of usage, if the specified index exceeds 25.0 g/m2, for universal direction of usage, if the index is within the range from 15.1 to 24.9 g/m2, or for fibrous direction of usage, if the index makes less than 15.0 g/m2.
EFFECT: using the invention makes it possible to ensure simplification and acceleration of hemp selection process for various directions of usage.
