FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises adjusting self-centering three-cam lathe chuck made up of body, helical wheel, taper wheel and racks with changeable lay-on cams. Said chuck is mounted on machine tool spindle with the help of main disk, disk with spherical outer surface, disk chuck and movable ring. Note here that said body is positioned and rigidly secured on the face of disk with spherical outer surface with its center located on body lengthwise axis and staying in contact with mating spherical surface on disk chuck face, Note also that moving ring is secured on disk chuck opposite face while main disk is secured by means of clamping flange on machine tool spindle. All aforesaid parts are interconnected by studs passing with clearance there through and chuck lengthwise axis may be shifted and inclined by 2-3°. Screws with nuts and locking screws with counter nuts are used for chuck radial shift and locking on spindle.
