FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: multiple-bed furnace includes gas cooling system for its central shaft (20) and for its paddles (26). Gas cooling system includes main distributing ring-shaped channel (54, 54') inside shaft (20) for supply of cooling gas to paddles (26) and central outlet channel (56) for pumping out the cooling gas leaving paddles (26). Gas cooling system also contains main ring-shaped supply channel (52, 52') enveloping the main ring-shaped distributing channel (54, 54') and restricted on the outside with external cover (50) of the shaft. Inlet hole (44', 44") of cooling gas is connected to the main ring-shaped supply channel (52, 52'). Cooling gas passage (60', 60") between the main ring-shaped supply channel (52, 52') and the main ring-shaped distributing channel (54, 54') is located at some distance from inlet hole (44', 44") of cooling gas so that cooling gas supplied to inlet hole (44', 44") of cooling gas shall flow through the main ring-shaped supply channel (52, 52') through several bottom chambers (12) before it flows through cooling gas passage (60', 60") to the main ring-shaped distributing channel (54, 54').
EFFECT: invention provides uniform gas cooling of the shaft and paddles.
