FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of condensed fuels, in particular to a method for producing a combustible gas from a solid fuel and a reactor for carrying out such a method, and can be used for processing various solid fuels. Method comprises charging fuel to the upper sub-reactor, which is made in the form of a multi-core furnace with at least five backstones, feeding oxygen-containing gas to the upper sub-reactor in an amount insufficient to completely oxidize the fuel, initiation of fuel in an oxygen-containing gas in the upper part of the combustion reactor, movement of fuel from the overlying backstones to the underlying ones, direction of a gas flow along the fuel path from the upper to the lower backstone, unloading the solid residue from the lower backstone, removing the gaseous products in the form of combustible gas and directing them to the consumer. In this case, a cooling zone of the solid residue is made in the lower backstone by feeding the oxygen-containing gas to the lower part. And in one of the intermediate backstones not higher than the third from above and not lower than the third from below, a gas-tight shutter is made, and the flow of hot gas from the backstone located immediately below the gas-tight shutter, are directed to the upper backstone and at the same time the selection of gaseous products in the form of a combustible gas is produced from a backstone located above the gas-tight shutter.

EFFECT: invention ensures obtaining of combustible gases in a single process with high energy efficiency.
