FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used as tight compensating joint between pipeline flange and adapter flange of gas turbine engine at temperature of operating air fed to gas turbine engine (GTE) inlet. Proposed thermal tight compensator comprises connected pipeline outlet flange with groove accommodating O-ring tightened by magnitude of preliminary designed tightening by adapter flange of GTE inlet device. Connected pipeline outlet flange groove section sizes are selected to allow receiving pre-tightened O-ring section area. Groove depth is selected with due allowance for O-ring section square side size and ring material hardness that rule out excess tolerable strain in seal material while axial clearance is selected to rule out mechanical contact between flanges in GTE suspension oscillation. O-ring is made from square-section porous silicone resin. Said seal ring is glued to groove bottom by "ELASTOSIL E43" adhesive.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of engine.
