FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: preoperative and early postoperative oxidant-antioxidant relation derived from a quotient of a diene conjugate value by a superoxide dismutase value is additionally determined. If the oxidant-antioxidant relation is higher than a normal value making 2.89±0.2 standard units, developing early postoperative multiorgan dysfunction is considered to be found.
EFFECT: use of the technique enables diagnosis of developing early postoperative multiorgan dysfunction in patients with acute abdominal surgical pathology.
