SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, namely, to poultry keeping. The proposed compartment of the incubator, being a device for artificial hatching of chickens from eggs providing access of chickens to fodder in process of hatching in the incubator without reduction in hatchability or survivability comprises a hatching tray and at least one feeding trough installed inside the compartment. The hatching tray comprises a bottom and at least one wall of the hatching tray. The feeding trough comprises a bottom and at least one transparent wall of the feeding trough. The specified tray and trough are contained in the specified compartment of the incubator so that in the compartment itself incubation, hatching and feeding of chickens after hatching are provided. The invention also discloses the incubator comprising the specified compartment of the incubator.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides for increased live mass of chickens without reduction of their hatchability or survivability.
