General relaxation is followed by emotional stress. 25% Magnesium 4-6 ml, 1% nicotinic acid 0.5-3 ml and 0.9% sodium chloride 5-12 ml are introduced intravenously. An imperative suggestion is attended by ethanol vapour inhalation in treating alcoholic dependence. The following stage involves pharmacological exposure by introducing the preparations desulphirame and/or cyanamide in treating alcoholic dependence, and opiate receptors in treating opiate addiction. Finally, the therapeutic effect is consolidated by the intramuscular introduction of pyrogenal 50-100 mcg in treating alcoholic dependence and 100-1500 mcg in treating opiate addiction.
