FIELD: medicine, narcology, psychotherapy. SUBSTANCE: patient is placed into light-soundproof room and introduced into the state of hypnotic sleep, videocollection of negative pictures is projected onto videomonitor' screen or videopoints of VFX-1 helmet. Patient's attention is fixed at unpleasant grotesquely emphasized moments associated with the intake of alcohol, tobacco, narcotics or food misuse. Room air is sprayed with odors accompanying said misuses, moreover, patient's skin and mucous coverings are affected with air and water flows. At the background of psychoemotional overstrain one should perform a suggestive impact via an audial channel of VFX-1 helmet or acoustic system to verbally form the task for a patient to refuse from alcohol, tobacco, narcotics and food misuse. Such a procedure should be carried out once for 30-60 min or for 5-12 d daily. Positive emotions are created by projecting a sense videocollection onto a screen as positive pictures in developing ideal images of personality development being free of different addictions. In case of addiction to alcohol, tobacco, narcotics or food misuse this procedure should be repeated in 4-6 mo. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 2 cl, 4 ex
