FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand-held air-operated device used for tightening/untightening threaded joints, in particular, to nut runners. Proposed nut runner comprises case 1 to house ratchet made up of ratchet wheel 2 and set of spring-loaded pawls 20. Air drive consists of two cylinders 6, 7. Said ratchet is engaged with air drive via yoke 18 with two coaxial holes to receive pin 19 whereon fitted are aforesaid set of spring-loaded pawls 20 and two revolving cams 17. Output shaft 3 with ratchet wheel 2 fitted thereon runs in two aligned plain bearings 4 press fitted into case 1 and cover 5 attached thereto.

EFFECT: higher reliability, precise torque.
