FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand-held air-operated device used for tightening/untightening threaded joints, in particular, to nut runners. Proposed device comprises ratchet wheel and two air cylinders with their interconnected rods coupled via intermediate link with working head shaft. Said intermediate link is made up of two units and spring-loaded pawls. To expanded operating performances, mechanism to convert translation into rotation is made up said ratchet wheel and two interconnected sets of opposed spring-loaded pawls. Air switching over between two said air cylinders is carried out by means of control slide valve.
EFFECT: control over tightening torque by working heat turn angle.
