FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: mountain air-draft thermal power plant includes vertical air pipeline the inlet of which on lower side and outlet of which on upper side is interconnected with atmosphere; air motor installed in it and kinematically connected to electric generator; channel for connecting the air pipeline inlet with atmosphere with heater of ambient air in it. Air pipeline is made in the form of mine working isolated from penetration of underground waters to it, the mouth of which is air pipeline outlet on ground surface. Heater is geothermal header represented with dry warm (or hot) rocks characterised with induced or natural fracturing, which is interconnected with inlet of mine working. Connection channel of air pipeline inlet to atmosphere is geothermal header itself which spreads till it crosses the surface of mountainous area profile, either one additional mine working or several additional mine workings constructed from day surface to geothermal header and located about the mine working. Damper is installed on the mouth of mine working. Thermal power plant is provided with air agitator, for example fan in mine working.
EFFECT: use of the invention will allow increasing energy efficiency of thermal power plant.
