METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF RETINA DETACHMENT WITH CENTRAL AND PARACENTRAL RUPTURES Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61F9/07 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for treatment of retina detachment with centrally and paracentrally located ruptures. Three microinvasive ports are installed in 4 mm from limb. Subtotal vitrectomy and ablation of epiretinal membranes are carried out. PFOC are introduced at optic nerve disc. Its level is brought to rupture edges. After that, impression of sclera in rupture zone is carried out by sclerocompressor, which is also applied to realise sclera massage contributing to the most complete drainage of subretinal fluid. By means of sclerocompressor impression bank is formed until complete fit of retina in rupture zone on said bank is achieved. Introduction of PFOC is continued, with filling in complete volume of vitreal cavity. After that, sclerocompression is stopped gradually. Endolasercoagulation is performed. Replacement of PFOC with silicon is carried out. If subretinal fluid accumulates higher than rupture zone, point hole is formed in vessel-free zone of retina on the extreme periphery by means of vitreotom and drainage of subretinal fluid is carried out via it.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to recover visual functions due to complete fit of retina, reduce surgery trauma, as well as contributes to prevention of development of scotomas in visual field and recurrences of retina detachment.
