SUBSTANCE: if a retinal detachment relapse occurs in the postoperative period, subtotal pars plana vitrectomy is performed, epiretinal membranes are removed, the vitreous cavity is filled with a perfluororganic compound to the circumference of the depression shaft and the retina is fixed to the underlying eye membranes from the inside of the eye along the circumference of the depression shaft by alternately locating at least one internal magnetic seal, introduced through the flat part of the ciliary body and placed in the projection area of the external magnetic seal. After that, PFOC is replaced by a bioresonant gas mixture or silicone oil, while a flat element made of a thin silicone elastomer filled withsoft magnetic material particles is used as the internal magnetic seal, and the retentive area of the retina is not less than 2 mm². An elongated element made of 2-9 mm thick silicone elastomer with magnetic elements made of a permanent magnet and distributed in the silicone elastomer with provision of a magnetic field sufficient to create a pressing action on the retina from the internal magnetic seal is used as the external magnetic seal.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the effectiveness of surgical treatment of retinal detachments with initially poor prognosis, and also creates conditions for better visual rehabilitation in complicated cases of retinal detachment.
