FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration of fluids and may be used in various industries for cleaning low-viscosity fluids, e.g. water, kerosene, gasoline etc, on mechanical impurities. Proposed edge filter comprises tube with its filtration sections provided with perforations, filtration element made up of coiled wire, and spring. Filtration element is arranged concentrically with said tube between fixed bottom support element and moving two-side thrust in annular clearances between tube OD and inner diameters of bottom support element and moving two-side thrust, to rest on annular section of every said element. Spring with initial force exceeding elastic deformation of filtration element spring to allow tight fit of filtration element wire coils is arranged between two-side moving thrust and top moving thrust, in annular clearances between tube OD and inner diameters of bottom support element and moving two-side thrust, to rest on annular section of every said element.
EFFECT: improved self-cleaning, longer life, lower operating costs.
