FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation main pipelines and serves to separate gas and liquid phases in displacing one medium with the help of another one, and may be used in oil-and-gas industry. Proposed piston comprises hollow case made up of two tubes with elastic cups fitted on tube front and rear. Elastic membrane is fitted between tubes while covers are arranged on tube faces. Note here that holes are made on rear tube cover and front tube cylindrical surface.

EFFECT: decreased mixing of gas with fluid in pumping.
