FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of building ceramics and can be used in making construction materials. The crude mixture for making ceramic articles contains carbonised loam soil and a silica additive. The additive used is granular and is based the "silica cladding-organic core" principle, with the following ratio of components, wt %: carbonised loam soil 93.0-97.0; microsilica (granular additive cladding) 1.5-3.5; coal (granular additive core) 1.5-3.5.
EFFECT: high compression strength in water-saturated state and frost-resistance of the articles.
