FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves crushing and mixing gaseous, fatty, coking forge coal and adding an organic additive - coal-tar pitch. The granular coal-tar pitch is added to the charge mixture after crushing and mixing coal of all grades and undergoes further mixing through at least two reloads at reloading stations on the feed path of the charge mixture into the coal-storage bin of a coke furnace battery. The granular coal-tar pitch with particle size 0.1-10 mm is fed into the charge mixture through uniform distribution thereof on the surface of a belt conveyor which is loaded with crushed and mixed coal of all grades. Coal which is contained in the charge mixture is crushed before grinding to 0-3.0 mm using hammer mills and undergoes subsequent air separation in a fluidised bed with separation of coal with particle size greater than 3 mm from the crushed mixture and returning thereof for re-crushing.
EFFECT: preparing a charge mixture for producing coke of the required composition with high quality and improved mechanical properties.
