SUBSTANCE: drilling bit roller cutter comprises a body with support surfaces and crowns, the peripheral of which is equipped with hard-alloy inserts with a cylindrical tail and a working head. The working head of the peripheral crown insert is made in the form of a wedge-like prism, between which and the cylindrical tail arranged in parallel to the cutting edge there is at least one groove provided as aligned in parallel to the tail axis. Each peripheral insert at the side of the roller cutter periphery is equipped with a transverse part with ledges on the external surface, the longitudinal axis of which is arranged in the frontal plane parallel or at the angle to the roller cutter radius. Roller cutter crowns are made with longitudinal cylindrical channels communicated with the external surface of the crown with slots that are congruent to the external surface of the inserts.

EFFECT: simplified design and higher efficiency of bit operation and rock breaking.
