FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: radial-flow compressor impeller comprises main and cover discs with vanes arranged there between to make vane channels. Note here that lead edge of each vane features zigzag line shape to make tapered ledge. End sections of said zigzag line are located on one straight line while central sections form lateral sides and taper smaller base. Note also that taper lateral sides make 12°…18°-angle with axial line of vane channel meridian cross section. In compliance with second version, lead edge of every vane features zigzag line profile to make tapered ledge. Note here that lead edge of each vane features zigzag line shape to make tapered ledge while zigzag line sections located on taper smaller base mate lateral sides of two slot-like recesses made in tapered ledge. Lateral sides of each recess are located parallel with appropriate lateral side of taper.
EFFECT: reduced hydraulic losses and higher efficiency.
