FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine-tool industry. Proposed method comprises tool primary forming motion relative to article surface using drive software coordinate actuating system. Assemblies to support tool primary forming motion and tool positioning are made up of portal. Portal crossarm is provided with horizontal guides. Assemblies of tool primary forming motion and tool positioning are additionally provided with carriages with vertical guides. Tool assembly is made up of spindle heads with revolving spindles. Spindle heads are fitted on vertical guides of said carriages. Article registration means supports are mounted on foundation independently of said portal. Posts of portal 1 accommodate tool magazines. Means to provide preset rigidity for machined article are equipped with arbor shaft furnished with support element and fitted in spindle tool seat In machining, said n are positioned opposite the tool while support element of said means is driven in synchronism in cutting direction.

EFFECT: higher class of precision and surface finish.
