FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine-tool industry. Proposed method comprises tool primary forming motion relative to article surface using drive software coordinate actuating system. Tool primary forming motion is realised by moving the tool along guide line formed as envelope of sequential positions of circular arcs simulating cutting shapes of round cutting plate to produce 3D surface. Cutting tool is located so that axis of turn of spindle 12 of tool head 5 is located in the plane of cutting tool front surface. Actuating system assembly units mounts are made up of cross frame 2 with horizontal guides mounted on foundation 1. Said foundation 1 accommodates rotary tool magazine 10. Main table of actuating system is mounted to allow limited turn along circular coordinate and equipped with rotary table articulated with the main table. Actuating system is equipped with carriage 3 and slide 4. Note here tool head is articulated with slide 4.

EFFECT: higher class of precision and surface finish, higher efficiency.
