FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of monitoring at least one parameter of olefin polymerisation reaction in a fluidised bed, comprising steps for monitoring the polymerisation reaction so as to obtain a polymer resin in a reactor in which the dry melt reference temperature is indicative of the behaviour of changes in properties in the melting process of the resin in dry state and, based on the data which are indicative of at least one reaction parameter currently under control, real-time determination of the reduced dry melt reference temperature which is at least essentially equal to the difference between the dry melt reference temperature and melt reference temperature depression value by which the dry melt reference temperature is depressed due to presence of a condensable diluent gas in the reactor together with the resin. Optionally, this method also includes a step for controlling reactions depending on the reduced dry melt reference temperature or a stickiness parameter determined based on said reduced dry melt reference temperature. Method enables to determine stable operating conditions for a gas-phase polymerisation process in a fluidised bed with a condensable phase.

EFFECT: finding a mechanism for detecting the onset of polymer stickiness, which enables to determine the nearing of conditions beyond which stickiness could arise.
