FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: cooling unit refers to the devices providing accumulation of natural cold. Unit includes evaporator with low-boiling fluid, the outlet of which is interconnected via steam line to condenser the condensate outlet of which is connected via pipeline to evaporator, and unit operation control devices. Evaporator and condenser are made in the form of tight tanks; evaporator is arranged under condenser. Evaporator, condenser, pipeline and steam line are made so that they can operate under pressure of up to 2.5 MPa. Pipeline is equipped with controlled, normally closed valve; steam line is equipped with controlled bypass valve. Evaporator is equipped with cold energy removal device, and condenser is equipped with heat energy removal device. Evaporator and condenser are equipped with heat insulating casings which are equipped with tight hatches which have the possibility of connecting the surface of evaporator and condenser to atmosphere. Electric generator turbine is arranged in steam line channel.
EFFECT: use of this invention allows providing the possibility of changing thermodynamic characteristics of the system in natural way with preliminary cold accumulation at negative temperatures.
