FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: voltage converter, having at least one phased arm connected to dissimilar poles of a converter DC voltage side and comprising serial connection of switching cells (7), has a design (25), made as capable of applying a force to opposite ends of a multi-tier structure from semiconductor blocks for pressing of blocks in direction to each other with the purpose to ensure an electric contract between semiconductor blocks in the specified multi-tier structure, and also provision of transition of semiconductor blocks of the first circuit (23) of each switching cell of a converter into a condition of a continuously closed circuit, in case an appropriate switching cell fails. The second circuit (27) of each switching cell has a facility (29), arranged with the possibility to maintain the specified second circuit, including a capacitor (20) that accumulates power, in a non-conductive condition as the specified failure occurs.
EFFECT: provision of reliable redundancy.
