FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in power converters. Switching cells for power converter phase branches comprise power switch for conducting current for load excitation, series-connected auxiliary switch and cell capacitor, wherein series connection is connected in parallel to power switch, and an inductance cell element connected to connection of power switch and serial connection. Each said switching cell has a switching circuit for conducting commutation current occurring as a result of switching off the power switch, which comprises a first shunt circuit for blocking current flow in a certain direction, connected in parallel to the power switch for conducting said switching current in another, opposite direction, a second shunt circuit for blocking current flow in a certain direction, connected in parallel to an auxiliary switch for conducting said switching current in the other, opposite direction, and a cell capacitor. Each said switching cell also has one control input line for receiving a control signal, wherein said at least one control input line is configured to drive control output of power switch and control output of auxiliary switch and serial connection of said switching cells, wherein each said switching cell of said at least one serial connection is connected to adjacent said switching cell by said cell inductance element.
EFFECT: technical result is improved efficiency.
