SUBSTANCE: device is intended to regulate the passage of the gap (21) for the harvested mass in the thrower (16) in a field chopper containing the mounted unit (8) to receive the harvested mass (9), and a processing unit. The harvested mass given out by the processing unit passes through the thrower surrounded by the casing (20) of the machine, which is movable relative to the casing of the machine via the adjusting mechanism (23). Fixation of the thrower on the casing of the machine is carried out separately from the adjustment mechanism so that the forces effecting on the thrower are perceived by the guiding surfaces (28) located on the machine casing and the fixing elements (29) frictionally connected to the machine casing.

EFFECT: accuracy of adjustment of the passage gap is provided and fixation of the thrower when the adjusting mechanism is damaged.
