FIELD: agriculture, in particular, method and apparatus for automatic adjusting position of auxiliary thrower in harvesting machine, more particular, field grinder.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has at least one front device for receiving of harvested mass and at least one processing device. Harvested mass delivered from processing device is at least partly directed through auxiliary thrower at least partly enclosed within machine housing. Auxiliary thrower 11 is designed for moving relative to machine housing 18 at least partly enclosing auxiliary thrower 11. Method involves sensing and measuring by means of at least one sensor 41 one or more parameters of harvested mass in any zone within tract 43 for transporting of harvested mass; providing stepped or continuous changing sizes of flow-through gap 16.
EFFECT: provision for automatic adjustment of flow and thrown jet without interruption of harvesting process depending upon moisture content and other properties of harvested mass.
