FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: armour-piercing cartridge comprises an encapsulated case, a powder charge and a bullet with an armour-piercing core. The core is made in the form of a cylinder with a head curvilinear surface. On the head curvilinear surface of the core there are two flats evenly arranged along the perimetre. Flats form cutting edges in the crossing with the head curvilinear surface of the core or with each other.
EFFECT: increased armour-piercing action of the cartridge.
