FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: two-component bullet of proposed round consists of steel core and bimetal shell. Core cylindrical front part has lengthwise rifling. Round steel core is made an interference fit in said bimetal shell. Annular groove is made on core side surface between core head and cylindrical portion for flush-folding of bimetal shell open face. Core-to-round weight ratio makes 0.72-0.80. Bullet cylindrical portion features the shape of tapered cylinder with obtunding.
EFFECT: higher penetration force, ease of manufacture and coupling.
