FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: capillary diffusion source of a vapour microstream has a sealed gas-impermeable cylindrical housing with a working fluid - liquid phase of the analysed substance. A capillary with inlet and outlet holes on its corresponding sections is tightly attached to one of the end parts of the housing. The source also has support legs for holding it in the working horizontal position and preventing it from tipping over. The support legs are attached directly to the housing, and the capillary is tightly attached to the end part of the housing by its outlet section and is fitted inside the housing in parallel and above its axis such that the inlet hole of the capillary lies at a comparable distance from the ends of the housing. The support legs are attached to the housing at the opposite side of the outlet hole of the capillary.
EFFECT: high volume of working fluid, reduced probability of the working fluid falling into the capillary, preventing condensation of the analysed substance in the capillary.
